Aluminium is 100% recyclable and so could go on to create an infinite number of new products. Your Aluminium windows can be melted down and re-formed into pots, pans, drinks cans or even part of an aircraft.
The glazing from your windows can be melted down and reused as, decorative glass, coffee jars and bottles.
The timber from your old windows is often broken up sent through a shredder and made into woodchip, sawdust, even compost which in turn can be used to grow more trees.

Recycling the old frames and glazing can be a very comprehensive process, most parts of old windows are perfectly suitable to go on and be used to create new products. UPVC windows are especially durable and hardwaring, the plastic used in your old UPVC windows can be recycled up to 8 times. Aluminium frames are easily melted down and repurposed into other products.
